Our Team

Dr. Kelly Cooper founded Route 33 Eye Care & Optical Boutique in 2023 with a desire to integrate medical eye care services and optical fashion in a boutique setting.
 

Dr. Cooper obtained her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from The University of Florida. She acquired another bachelor’s degree in Vision Science and her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. She completed two prestigious externships during her final year of school and was awarded Extern of The Year in 2020 from Braverman Eye Center in Hollywood, Florida.
 

Dr. Cooper is a licensed therapeutic optometrist. She completed extensive training in identifying and managing ocular conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. She has a passion for managing dry eye syndrome and fitting multi-focal contact lenses.

Dr. Cooper is from a small town in South Florida and has an avid love of being on the water and spending time with her family.  In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her Persian cat, Charles and husband, Dr. Phillip DeMott.
